Objective

This Road Map was created by the Conference of European Statisticians (CES) Steering Group on Statistics for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Road Map provided CES members with strategies for implementing the CES Declaration on the Role of National Statistical Offices in Measuring and Monitoring the Sustainable Development Goals. More specifically, it laid out; what needed to be done, who was to what and when, who the stakeholders were, and the opportunities for cooperation. The Road Map included six sections:

1. Assessment of the readiness of countries to report on global indicators
2. Regional statistics and indicators
3. National and sub-national indicators
4. Reporting of SDG indictors
5. Capacity building
6. Strategies for communicating statistics for SDGs

Our Role

Our Principal, Rob Smith, is the co-chair of the Steering Group. The Steering Group prepared this Road Map for the Conference of European Statisticians on statistics for Sustainable Development Goals.
